Parallels between gaming addiction and other addictions Family disease concept and codependency
What can I do?

We are glad you have found our website and are hearing the news that there is hope for addicted gamers. Computer Gaming Addicts Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other, that they may stay off games and help other compulsive gamers achieve abstinence from gaming. Our meetings, available online and face-to-face in certain places, are run by our own members. We have no affiliation with any business, hospital, church, or government service.

Through the methods that have successfully helped millions of people addicted to drinking, taking drugs, gambling and other compulsive behaviors in other recovery fellowships, we have achieved sobriety from our own obsessive compulsive gaming. While we are a young fellowship, having chosen a name for ourselves and created this website in 2014, we do have several members with years of continuous sobriety and many members with decades of experience in other recovery fellowships.

Our primary purpose is to abstain from gaming and help fellow sufferers. While we do not have the experience or tools for effectively helping the family and friends of gaming addicts, we can refer you to some helpful resources and summarize a few helpful concepts.
