Making the literature committee more transparent

Post by ADH »

Currently everything is shared in the forums. In order to get access to these forums you need to a) register an account with these forums and, b) request a moderator to give access to the business section of these forums.

This is not appropriate for a 12 step fellowship. We need to be as transparent as we can be.

So, why not create a web page, which is password protected (note: no user login) which contains:
- the agenda of all literature committee meetings.
- the minutes of all lit com meetings.
- any relevant documents in pdf form (not everybody has access to a word processor).
- up-to-date relevant discussion.
- email address of the chair, to allow communication about the agenda.

The password protection serves to keep trolls and google out.
This makes sure that every fellow with the password has access to the document and outside sources don't have access to the documents.

Now, I understand that putting all of this stuff about each lit com meeting which ever happened online is an staggering amount of work. That's a wonderful opportunity for a service position. Putting all past and future lit com meeting stuff on the website.

Thoughts?
