General Service Conference meetings, agendas, and notes.
Forum rules
* The business of the General Service Conference is discussed. We make decisions by group conscience, guided by higher power. Those elected as a trustee or delegate can vote on all GSC matters. CGAAIS staff can vote on issues related to their area.
* Back and forth discussion of different perspectives is appropriate. We strive to be respectful of all.
* Anonymity reminds us to place principles before personalities.

Quorum 7 of 9 present

Approval of minutes from January

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=840

Motion to approve the minutes: 5 aye / 2 abstain

Incorporation commission reports and issues
* Tim is taking over as chair
* We met once we're back up and running.

Literature commitee reports and issues
* Met last month, Made little bit of progress on meeting handbook and meeting formats.
* Reference lit com meeting minutes.

Website reports and issues
* Traffic really high lately.

Hotline reports and issues
* Can't recall any problems.
* We think the issue last meeting was with parent calls, and we have a parent group now.
* About 60% of the calls are usually friends & family.
* Pass the anon info to family & friends on the Hotline.

Demo for the new website (Thank you Webmaster <3)
* Looks good, can we go forward with this?
-> The plan was to send a link to staging to the groups and ask people to review and comment.
* How would we organize the feedback? Use GSC mailing? Seperate feeback line?
* Does the new website contain just the old stuff, or the new stuff as well?
-> It includes everything.
* We could post the new website along the old one temporarily, saying it's not yet approved content.
* What is in the new content?
-> It's noted in previous minutes.
* Against having "not approved" on the website because it doesn't mean anything to newcommers.

Proposal: The following sections of the new website will go through approval process through Lit Com and/or GSC over 2021. In the meanwhile, they will remain on the website. If any member objects to one of them, it will be hidden from public view until GSC approves it.

Been through some feedback process and revision but unapproved:
Stories of recovery from the old forum in pamphlet form http://cgaa.info/wp-content/uploads/202 ... covery.pdf
Twelve Steps: Inclusivity for those familiar with fellowships https://cgaa.info/12steps
Twelve Steps: Inclusivity for those new to fellowships https://cgaa.info/12steps
Building Local Fellowship pamphlet http://cgaa.info/wp-content/uploads/202 ... owship.pdf
Cravings and triggers https://cgaa.info/cravings-and-triggers
FAQs https://cgaa.info/faq
Things that are brand new:
Accompanying text in 20 Questions pamphlet http://cgaa.info/wp-content/uploads/202 ... rifold.pdf
Things that are updated:
What CGAA is and is not https://cgaa.info/about-us
CGAA history https://cgaa.info/about-us
Info for professionals (addition of WHO gaming disorder) https://cgaa.info/video-game-addiction-information

How will people know what is approved and what isn't?
So for example we had the 20 questions that wasn't approved, we just had a small notice above it.

Revised Proposal: The following sections of the new website will go through approval process through Lit Com and/or GSC over 2021. In the meanwhile, they will remain on the website. If any member objects to one of them, it will be hidden from public view until GSC approves it. New pages will be tagged as drafts still seeking input.

How will we tag pages?
Small note with a feedback link
Should be a positive statement "This page is looking for feedback".
Put the link at the top and the bottom.

Revised Revised Proposal: The website goes live and it will be advertised to the fellowship as open for feedback. Scott will collect feedback. The following sections of the new website will go through approval process through Lit Com and/or GSC over 2021. In the meanwhile, they will remain on the website. If any member objects to one of them, it will be hidden from public view until GSC approves it.
